iQuilt Plan
The iQuilt began as an initiative by the Bushnell Center for the Performing arts to better connect itself to Main Street and the downtown core... evolving into an award winning plan for downtown Hartford, built around the principles of walking, culture and innovation. With the support of the National Endowment for the Arts, the plan was developed and a board of directors was established to steward implementation across political administrations.
A product of a public/private partnership between the City of Hartford, the arts community, and the business sector, the iQuilt Plan was written by Suisman Urban Design. In his time as a public official, JVM Studio's Jonas Maciunas served as the City of Hartford's point person on the project.
